With the silly season approaching faster than meets the eye, Western Australia’s nightlife is putting its best foot forward in terms of NYE talent: New Joondalup nightclub LOOP has reeled in Chillinit for their ‘Cheers for 2024’ festivities.
The Western Sydney rapper will take to the stage at the Joondalup venue to cuss out 2024 with bangers such as Overkill, Henny & Reefer, and ode to Australian Crawl Boys Light Up. The news was made official late last week, with a joint statement shared online between the club and the rapper.
The performance is set to begin at 9 PM and continue well into the night, ticking over the clock to the 25th year of the new millennium.
Chillinit, a solo artist from Sydney, gained national attention with his debut album Women, Weed & Wordplay in 2018, popularising a new genre of home-grown rap into the Australian zeitgeist.
The rapper (real name Blake Turnell) would go on to claim his first spot on the ARIA Singles Chart with the 2019 single Freedom. The Sydney bar-spitter now has four albums under his belt and recently teased new music on Instagram.
Posting a photo with his son Leo, Chillinit provided the caption: “Twins. #LikeFatherLikeSon
