Queensland six-piece band Cheap Fakes have added to extra dates to their Modern Vintage album tour, which will see them now making their way to Sydney and Melbourne.

Worked on by John Merchant, Modern Vintage is set for release on Friday 9 October. Merchant has previously worked with Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, The Bee Gees and Barbara Streisand.

The tour kicks off in Brisbane on the day of the album release, and winds up in Melbourne on Friday 13 November.
