Channel [V] Announce Nominees For Oz Artist Of The Year

360, Gotye, Alpine, Chet Faker amongst the Top 50 nominees.

The long list of nominees have been announced for this year's Channel [V] Oz Artist Of The Year, and includes 50 artists that have been hot on the Australian radar, as well as one Wild Card entry voted by the public.

The Top 50 includes:

360, Alpine, Angus Stone, Ball Park Music, Bleeding Knees Club, Bluejuice, Boy & Bear, Catcall, Chet Faker, Children Collide, Dappled Cities, Deep Sea Arcade, Delta Goodrem, DZ Deathrays, Flight Facilities, Gossling, Gotye, Guy Sebastian, Havana Brown, Hilltop Hoods, Jessica Mauboy, Jonathan Boulet, Justice Crew, Kimbra, Last Dinosaurs, Lisa Mitchell, Loon Lake, Matt Corby, Missy Higgins, Nine Sons Of Dan (Wild Card), Northeast House Party, Oh Mercy, Reece Mastin, Ricki-Lee, Sam Sparro, San Cisco, Seth Sentry, Sia, Sneaky Sound System, Something For Kate, Stan Walker, The Getaway Plan, The Jezabels, The Potbelleez, The Presets, The Rubens, The Temper Trap, The Veronicas, Timomatic and Van She.

Now in its 16th year, the annual Channel [V] award winner will be decided by the general public via vmusic.com.au. There will be daily eliminations for artists who are low on the votes and after three weeks the Top 10 will be revealed on Saturday 3 November.

Channel [V] will decide and announce the Top 4 finalists on Saturday 17 November, before the winner is crowned on Saturday 8 December.

The winner will join the likes of 360, The Veronicas, Guy Sebastian and Silverchair, who have all taken out the award in past years.
