Cat PowerChan Marshall, the vocalist, songwriter, musician, and producer extraordinaire behind Cat Power, has just announced she has signed to Domino and will release her new album Wanderer in October via the label.
Written and recorded in the U.S. over the last few years, the LP encompasses Marshall’s “journey so far” and features guest vocals from Lana Del Ray.
Speaking about the album, Marshall spoke about “the course [her] life has taken in this journey”.
“Going from town to town, with my guitar, telling my tale; with reverence to the people who did this generations before me.
“Folk singers, blues singers, and everything in between.
“They were all wanderers, and I am lucky to be among them.”
