The event will take over both levels of Melbourne's Curtin Hotel in October.
Melbourne's Curtin Hotel will be taken over by Good Luck #1, a fundraiser gig being held in honour of non-profit camp program Girls Rock! Australia, this October.
The national camp network is designed to provide a safe, empowering space for female, trans and gender-diverse youth aged 10-17, imbuing its attendees with bolstered self-esteem and confidence through the mediums of female-led music education and performance.
To that end, the fundraiser has stacked its bill with some of the nation's best-known and loved performers and entertainers set to hit both floors of the Curtin, including, upstairs, a ticketed show (for only $20 plus booking fee) featuring live performances from Camp Cope, Totally Mild and US expat/adopted Melburnian Hachiku, as well as newcomers Lubulwa and folk-grunge outfit Boats.
Meanwhile, downstairs will host a free-to-the-public talk/comedy/acoustic event featuring Brodie Lancaster (No Way! Okay, Fine), triple j host and comedian Gen Fricker, music and feminist writer Giselle Au-Nhien Nguyen, June Jones (Two Steps On The Water), Kelso (Camp Cope) and a live podcast from pro-mental-health project Don't Fret Club.

All money raised by the event — which will also feature zines, raffles and other attractions — will go towards funding full and partial scholarships for the camp, giving kids from disadvantaged backgrounds a chance to participate in, and benefit from, the camp's program par excellence.
Good Luck #1, in honour of Girls Rock! Australia, will be held on Sunday 8 October. Tickets are available now through the venue.
