Grinspoon Plot 30th Birthday Bonanza Australian Tour

Beloved Aussie rockers Grinspoon are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. Today, they announced their 30th Birthday Bonanza tour of Australia from September to December.

Since winning the inaugural triple j Unearthed competition 30 years ago, Grinspoon has released eight albums and many singles, received 13 ARIA Award nominations, and won an ARIA Award for Best Rock Album (for 2004’s Thrills, Kills + Sunday Pills). They have also toured for decades, performing for their dedicated Grinners.

Last August, Grinspoon released their first album in twelve years. Whatever, whatever represented an incredible return to hard-rocking tunes, which the band was all too happy to celebrate with a 45-date national tour that included regional Australia.

For the 30th Birthday Bonanza tour, Grinspoon will play in metro cities and as part of the Night At The Barracks and brand-new Night At The Parkland series.

The tour begins at Night At The Parkland, Brisbane, on Friday, 12 September, before continuing to Sydney’s Night At The Barracks on Saturday, 4 October, Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Saturday, 1 November, Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on Saturday, 8 November, Newcastle’s NEX on Saturday, 29 November, Canberra’s UC Refectory on Saturday, 13 December, and wraps up at Melbourne’s Forum on Friday, 19 December.

The tour will feature special guests Bad//Dreems (all dates except Adelaide), Loose Content (Brisbane and Melbourne only), Purple Disturbance (Sydney, Newcastle, and Canberra), Regurgitator (Adelaide and Perth only), Molly Rocket (Adelaide only), and Lonesome Dove (Perth only).

Venue and ticket agency database pre-sales begin at 10 am local time on Monday, 19 May, while the Night At The Barracks and Night At The Parkland pre-sales start at 9 am local time on Friday, 16 May and Monday, 19 May, respectively.

General public tickets (excluding Night at the Parkland and Night at the Barracks, which will be available on their respective websites) will be available at 10 am local time on Thursday, 22 May via Grinspoon’s website.
