World Bar's Saturday weekly event CAKES always aims to please. For what was a fantab lineup last week, Cakes will be back for the first weekend of November with another huge bill.
Stopping by as part of his Australian Pacific Tour, The Club (main room) downstairs will see Adelaide's MOTEZ headlining the night! Since releasing his Ride Roof Back EP via Shadow Child's label FOOD MUSIC, the man has gone on to release a few renditions, such as his remix of Flight Facilities' 'Clair De Lune' and his edit of Sage And Gemini's 'Gas Pedal'; a track that was literally just released as a token of gratitude for hitting the 10,000 fans mark on his Facebook page.
He's also just announced that he's currently working with Australian label SWEAT IT OUT! for his next original release!
Motez will be supported by DANNY T on the night. Fashioning a hefty catalogue under his belt, the Sydney local's most recent release was an eight-track collaborative EP with Matt Sofo. With this alongside other originals and remixes (more recently reworking tunes from the likes of Benson, NatNoiz and Coutiez), it's inevitable that Danny T has a solid set planned up his sleeve for this Saturday night!
It wouldn't be Cakes without utilising World Bar's multi-storey complex. Amongst The Club, Tea Room, Terrace and Bordello, you'll stumble across sets from a variety of different DJs, including Stoney Roads' Rave Doss, Deckhead, Hannah Gibbs and Komofski.
