BTS are returning with a highly anticipated tour – their first since their 2021-2022 PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE tour – and Australia is included.

Announced overnight, the pop music group’s 2026-2027 run is set to be the biggest global K-pop tour of all time, as well as their largest to date. The WORLD TOUR will span 34 regions and 79 shows, featuring first-ever performances in multiple cities as BTS open a historic new chapter. The tour will feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design.

While venues and on-sale information are yet to be confirmed for BTS’s Australian shows, we do have the tour dates: after spending December in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, BTS will launch their 2027 tour dates in Australia before ending the run in Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Australian fans might want to book their accommodation now, as BTS will perform in Melbourne and Sydney in February 2027. The dates are Friday, 12 February, and Saturday, 13 February, in Melbourne, followed by Saturday, 20 February, and Sunday, 21 February, in Sydney. The shows mark BTS’s first Australian tour in a decade. You can join the Australian waitlist here.

BTS’s WORLD TOUR begins in their home city of South Korea, with dates at Goyang Stadium locked in for this April. The group will spend the majority of 2026 touring across the US, the UK, and Europe, before playing shows in South America and Asia.

In October 2022, BTS’s management confirmed that its members would each serve in the South Korean military as part of their mandatory service, effectively putting the group on hiatus. The band had previously been seeking an exemption to continue their musical career.

BTS are the band that put K-pop on the international map, becoming one of the biggest acts on the planet. Their albums Love Yourself: Tear (2018), Map Of The Soul: 7 (2020), and Be (2020) all landed in the ARIA Albums Top Ten while their compilation album Proof, released in June 2022, hit the top spot. Their single Boy With Luv featuring Halsey was also an ARIA Top Ten hit.

BTS are expected to release a new album in 2026.
