Brother AliAcclaimed hip hop figure Brother Ali will be making his long-awaited return to Australia this year, teaming up with local legends Horrorshow along the way.
A respected performer, activist, and speaker, Brother Ali will bring his live show to Australian stages this September, kicking off at Sydney’s Factory Theatre, before visiting The Triffid in Brisbane, and wrapping it up with a date at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel.
Launching his musical career in the '90s, Brother Ali has spent the better part of the last three decades as an acclaimed performer, lyricist, and social activist. Releasing his debut album in 2000, he's since released a total of ten full-length records, including his most recent, Satisfied Soul, which arrived in early 2025.
Along the way, he’s managed to make a name for himself as a prominent musical voice when it comes to social activism, and he’s received high praise from iconic names in the genre such as Public Enemy’s Chuck D, and Rakim.
The forthcoming trek will be his first in the country in close to a decade, having last touched down on our shores in 2017. For this visit, he’ll be joined by DJ Abilities, a Minneapolis-based producer and DJ whose turntable work as a soloist and as part of groups Eyedea & Abilities and Semi.Official has seen him receive widespread acclaim.

“Ali is one of the greats and one of our biggest influences so it’s an honour to get the chance to share the stage with him,” Horrorshow wrote on social media alongside news of the tour.
