Having been wowing audiences in Brisbane with their bluesy, rocky antics since 2013, it's a surprise that five-piece blues-rock otufit The Con & The Liar haven't yet toured south of the border.
But that's all going to change with the announcement that the Brissy natives are making their way down to Sydney and Melbourne for their first-ever run of dates south of the border in support of their new single, Drummers & Lovers, due out soon, before heading back home for a final show.
Drummers & Lovers is a follow-up to their previous single, Sick Seedy, which was released in late November 2015, and the single and tour are in anticipation of new material in the form of a new EP, Biting (itself a follow-up to 2014's Deserters), due out mid-year.
The Con & The Liar are gigging at Sydney's Marly Bar on Thursday 3 March, Sydney's The World Bar on Friday 4 March, Melbourne's The Workers Club on Sunday 6 March, then a few weeks break and back to Brisbane's The Black Bear Lodge on Saturday 26 March.
