One of Australia’s most fun charity and community events, the Reclink Community Cup, will head to Brisbane on Sunday, 27 July.
The Brisbane Reclink events have raised over $150,000 to help improve the lives of those dealing with mental illness, homelessness, domestic violence, social isolation, addiction and unemployment.
Following the national theme of Frente!’s Original Angels, celebrating the unsung heroes of local communities, the annual event will once again feature Brisbane musos playing a match of footy against local media.
The Rocking Horses, comprising Brisbane musicians such as Ash Kerley (Marville), James Bartlett (Flamingo Blonde), DJ and Gabba Ward Councillor Trina Massey, artists from the bands Whalehouse, Red Hill, Sacred Hearts, and more.
Archrivals Brisbane Lines will star 4ZZZ’s Lydia Gascoigne-Pees and Andy Paine as co-captains, as well as ABC Sport’s Dean Bilton, Jon Healy, and Kyle Pollard. The team will also feature music industry figures from QMusic, GYROstream, The Princess Theatre, The Tivoli, ABC Brisbane, and Dew Process, among others.
The Reclink Community Cup won’t just be home to a fun footy match, but also local live music, activities for kids, bars, and food trucks, all contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. This year, local acts Girl And Girl, Arugula, and DVD will keep the energy high with their live sets.

Tickets to the 2025 Reclink Community Cup—taking place at Enoggera Memorial Park—are available now. Gates will open at 12 pm, and the fun will continue until 6 pm. In addition to food and beverages, live music and activities, dogs are welcome as long as they’re on a lead. You can find tickets and more information about this year’s event on the Reclink Community Cup website.
Michelle Padovan, volunteer and organiser, said of this year’s event, “It’s our tenth year since we started in Brisbane, and our theme, Ordinary Angels, couldn’t be more fitting. We see the power of community every year, people showing up, pitching in, and lifting each other up. That’s what this competition is all about, and we’re so proud to keep building on that legacy.
“This is one of those rare events that brings all corners of our city together from musicians, radio announcers, industry workers, families, footy fans and first-timers, all on the same field, raising money for something that truly matters.”
Reclink CEO Dave Wells added, “This isn’t just a footy match or a festival – it’s a living, breathing example of what happens when a community shows up for each other. Every goal, riff, and ticket sold helps us continue delivering programs that change lives.”
