WA's Longest Running Dance Event Makes New Plan After 2020 Festival Cancelled

"Same crew. Same tunes. Same day."

WA festival Breakfest will host a special event this Boxing Day after being forced to cancel its 2020 plans.

On Tuesday, organisers announced that this year's festival, which was to celebrate its 20th anniversary, could not go ahead as "the Chief Health Officer has determined our event cannot proceed in its current format".

We do want to thank Department of Health WA and the Chief Health Officer for allowing us the opportunity to revise the event format, however these conditions are simply unacceptable for us to deliver the event you have come to know and love for the past 19 years," a statement issued this week read.

Instead, Breakfest will go ahead on Boxing Day with One More Time - taking place at The Court Hotel in Perth with a line-up that includes Kid Kenobi, Ekko & Sidetrack and Greg Packer.

While online tickets sold out earlier today, door sales will be available on the day.
