The Long Sunset returns in 2025 with its most exciting line-up yet, headlined by two of Australia’s most beloved live acts—Boy & Bear and Vera Blue.

Set in the lush surrounds of Boonah in Queensland’s Scenic Rim, the three-day festival will run from Friday, 31 October, to Sunday, 2 November, transforming the town into a vibrant celebration of music, community, and adventure.

Following a sold-out 2024, this year’s line-up blends chart-toppers, rising stars and festival favourites, featuring the magnetic pop of Gretta Ray, the riotous energy of The Buoys, the soulful storytelling of Jem Cassar-Daley, groove-heavy sets from Tjaka, garage rock from The Vernons, nostalgic kids' fun from Bunny Racket, and alt-pop newcomers Playlunch.

Whether you're dancing front and centre or discovering new sounds under the sun, The Long Sunset offers a one-of-a-kind musical experience that’s just 90 minutes from Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

Arrive Friday afternoon and ease into the weekend with live music on the festival grounds, or wander into Boonah for sets at some of the town’s much-loved local venues.

Saturday delivers the full festival experience, with the main stage line-up in full swing and a vibrant program of workshops, markets, food, wine, and family-friendly activities spread across the site. Sunday is yours to slow down, unwind, connect, or set off on an adventure and discover more of the Scenic Rim’s natural beauty and local charm.

Daryl Raven, CEO of Queensland Music Trails, said the new location sets the stage for something truly special:

“We’re thrilled to bring The Long Sunset to the heart of Boonah for the first time in 2025, a new chapter for one of Queensland’s most loved music events.

“This trail is about more than great music; it’s about transforming towns through culture, connecting communities, and creating unforgettable experiences in some of our most beautiful regions in Queensland. We can’t wait for audiences to explore everything the Scenic Rim and Boonah have to offer, from incredible local food and producers to breathtaking walks, family-friendly fun, and of course, world-class music under the stars.”

Festival headliners Boy & Bear added:

“We’re thrilled to be joining The Long Sunset line-up. We have some amazing memories from playing previous shows on the Gold Coast and Queensland in general.

“We’ve been in the studio, so who knows—perhaps we’ll even play a new song or two. Either way, we’re excited to be heading up to play music for our fans there.”

Tickets start from just $60pp (first release), with on-site camping, family-friendly programming, and all-ages access across the weekend.
