"He was a one-of-a-kind person and an unsung hero of the Australian music landscape."
Greg Weaver, music industry veteran and tour manager for Aussie outfits Boy & Bear, Ball Park Music and The Whitlams is confirmed to have passed away.
In statements posted to their respective Facebook pages on Monday night, all three bands paid tribute to Weaver.
"Anyone who knew him, knew what a genuinely beautiful, talented and caring human being he was," Boy & Bear's post reads.
"He loved his family dearly and treated us like we were part of it. He was like this for all the artists he worked for. It is impossible to overstate how incredible this man was. If you ever came to one of our shows and thought it sounded good it was because of him. We will miss you terribly dear friend."
Meanwhile, Ball Park Music described Weaver as a "kind, intelligent and humble man".
"He cared for us so genuinely, he mentored us and he helped steer us when we needed it. I insist that these are not empty platitudes but rather a true appraisal of a man that made us proud to call ourselves musicians," the statement reads.
