Bluesfest Release Their Seventh Artist Announce Feat. A Heap Of Guitar Legends

Eric Gales, Mud Morganfield and lots more

More Bluesfest Bluesfest Profile

Just last week they announced Madness, The Mountain Goats and more huge names on their upcoming 2017 blues extravaganza, and staying true to their word, a week later another announcement for Bluesfest has landed.

With a focus on talented and/or iconic blues guitarists this announcement, the freshly Pollstar-nominated festival (yet again) have bagged Tennessee blues-rock guitarist Eric Gales, playing his first Bluesfest show. Blues legend Muddy Waters' son Mud Morganfield, an  acclaimed artist in his own right, has also signed on to play alongside Devon Allman and Experience Jimi Hendrix, the latter of which will boast an all-star tribute line-up of Jak Housden (The Badloves), Peter Northcote (Dragon, Tom Jones), Dai Pritchard (Rose Tattoo), Steve Edmonds and Grant Walmsley (The Screaming Jets).

Other additions include the return of Jeff Lang, Ray Beadle, Blind Boy Paxton and Glenn Cardier, as well as the debut performances of Lloyd Spiegel, Davy Knowles and Melody Angel.

Today's seventh announcement joins a stellar bill including Neil Young, Patti Smith, Santana, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Booker T and many, many more.
