The first lineup announcement has been made for 2011's East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival, which is held annually in Byron Bay. Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will headline the star-studded bill, which also features blues icon BB King and American new wave great Elvis Costello.
Bluesfest director Peter Noble commented on the massive lineup, stating “if Jesus Christ, Mohammed AND Buddha ALL want to pray in our church or temple at the same time – we are gonna find a way to fit them in”. This is just the first of four lineup announcements, with the full bill said to include 120 plus artists. The festival will be held between Thursday April 21 and Monday 25 April in 2011.
