More The Weeknd More The Weeknd

Coachella weekend one is set to kick off in 23 hours, and the surprises are already unrolling.

This year’s event will be headlined by Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean for two weekends on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The Indio, California festival will host even more massive names in music.

On Friday the 14th and 21st, Coachella will host Gorillaz, Burna Boy, The Chemical Brothers, Kaytranada, Blondie, Becky G, Metro Boomin, Pusha T, and Wet Leg, as well as adventurous, jazz-leaning outfits DOMi and JD BECK and The Comet Is Coming.

On Saturday the 15th and 22nd, artists such as Rosalía, Eric Prydz, boygenius, The Kid LAROI, Charli XCX, Underworld, Labrinth, and Chromeo round out the bill, alongside more indie-leaning acts like Snail Mail, Marc Rebillet, Hiatus Kaiyote, Kenny Beats, Ethel Cain, The Linda Lindas, The Breeders, and Horsegirl.

Sunday the 16th and 23rd offers up Björk, Kali Uchis, A Boogie, Porter Robinson, Dominic Fike, Jai Paul, Latto, 2manyDJs, Christine & The Queens, Noname, Rae Sremmurd, Weyes Blood, Alex G, Sudan Archives, Momma, and dance veterans Sasha and John Digweed

Calvin Harris is also listed at the bottom of the original Coachella poster without a corresponding day for his performances.

With all these acts already confirmed, who needs more? Well, Coachella always provides the biggest artists, so they quietly confirmed the surprise additions of blink-182 and James Blake to the timetable, which you can check out below. Blink-182’s appearance will be their first with the classic lineup of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge since 2014.

While The Weeknd wasn’t added to the schedule, the Blinding Lights megastar is teasing his appearance at the festival, tweeting “[desert emoji]?” and following it up by asking, “Where will you find me?”

Uproxx reports that a Weeknd fan account wrote, “THE WEEKND WILL PERFORM AT COACHELLA THIS YEAR.” Seemingly offering his endorsement, The Weeknd retweeted the post.

The Weeknd could headline a stage or appear while collaborators such as Kaytranda, Metro Boomin or Calvin Harris are performing. Not long until we find out what’s ahead for Coachella weekend one - you can live stream the entire festival on YouTube - beginning at 9 am AEST tomorrow.
