Bingo Players DJ Paul Bäumer Dies Of Cancer

The DJ loses his five-month battle with the illness

One half of Dutch dance duo Bingo Players, Paul Bäumer has passed away from cancer.

Bäumer's DJ partner Maarten Hoogstraten confirmed the news on the pair's official Facebook page overnight. In the post, Hoogstraten thanked fans for all their support since Bäumer illness was revealed in July.

"I'm deeply saddened to tell you that Paul passed away last night after his battle with cancer. He fought strongly until the end. We want to thank you all for your support over the past few months."

For the time-being, all Bingo Players shows have been postponed. The outfit were on the recent Stereosonic bill, with Hoogstraten DJing solo during the tour.
