Including a few *very* impressive names indeed.
BIGSOUND will be here before we know it, but the already-massive line-up — boasting more than 130 established and emergent acts — continues to evolve, with a further 11 acts being quietly added to the bill over the weekend.
(Actually, including recently announced triple j Unearthed winners Carmouflage Rose, Nice Biscuit and Holiday Party, it's an extra 14, but who's counting?) (...We are.)
Eagle-eyed festival fans would have noticed a bunch of venues making announcements over the past few days, and we're pretty sure we've rounded 'em all up for ease of standing back in awe and marvelling at them. The grand total of artists playing this year's event has now skated past 140, because BIGSOUND has "BIG" in its name for a very good reason.
From stalwart local favourites such as Horror My Friend and Oh Mercy to noteworthy additions such as NT outfit Apakatjah, Perth electro duo Feels and emergent Qld hip hop artist Jesswar and beyond, the latest batch of artists to have joined the festivities in such a low-key manner deserve a whole lot of noise to be made about them.

Check out what we're almost certain is the full list of fresh faces below — though we wouldn't be at all surprised if even more names made their way out of the woodwork in the near future. Either way, the full timetable release will be happening this Thursday, 10 August.
BIGSOUND hits Brisbane from 5-8 September. More details at its website.
