In conjunction with a string of launch shows

Brisbane rockers Big Bad Echo are continuing on from a productive 2015 with the release of their debut EP It Takes A Big Dog To Weigh A Tonne on 26 Feb. They will also embark on a string of launch shows in support of the EP, travelling between Brisbane and Sydney.

Their latest single Ice Breaker has enjoyed a triple j Unearthed rotation and emulates a very lo-fi, indie atmosphere drawing on influences such as The Strokes, Modest Mouse and Deerhunter.

The seven-track extended play opens with Cannon Fire, then leads listeners into increasingly chaotic bursts of saxophone and intense guitar riffs. It Takes A Big Dog To Weigh A Tonne EP tour will hit up Black Bear Lodge on 25 Feb before heading to Sydney's Oxford Art Factory for a show on 4 Mar.
