Best Aussie Songs Of 2013 Nominated For APRA Song Of The Year

The 20 Australian songs that are in with a shot of being named Song Of The Year at this year's APRA Awards have been revealed, with Nick Cave and Boy & Bear leading the charge with two entries each.

The prestigious peer-voted award also features tracks from The Preatures, Flume & Chet Faker, Violent Soho, Dan Sultan, John Butler, Empire Of The Sun and Gurrumul. Now that the shortlist has been released APRA members – of whom there are an estimated 87,000 songwriters, composers and publishers – have until 5pm (EST) Tuesday 29 April to vote for the Song Of The Year.

In 2014 the awards will head to Brisbane for the first time in its 32-year history and will take place Monday 23 June at Brisbane City Hall.
