Brisbane is the place to be this summer with its upcoming On The Banks live music series.

With two waves of local and international artists on the bill, the new riverside, outdoor live concert series captures the essence of a Queensland summer: warm nights and unforgettable performances intersect for a hub of arts and community.

The inaugural event takes place on the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank in early 2026. Running from Wednesday, 25 February, until Sunday, 22 March, On The Banks was introduced in November.

It announced a line-up of stars, including De La Soul headlining a show called Droppin’ Science, where they’ll be joined by Oddisee & Good Compny and First Nations rapper Miss Kaninna, plus gigs from The Streets, Bernard Fanning, Peach PRC, DISCO CLUB, and New Zealand singer-songwriter Marlon Williams.

Both Bernard Fanning and Peach PRC, representing Australian music, will be accompanied by an array of homegrown legends.

Fanning will be joined by special guests Kasey Chambers, The Paper Kites, Troy & Jem Cassar-Daley and Georgia Mooney, while Maude Latour and Salty will perform alongside Peach PRC.

In December, more acts were added to the bill. Yolŋu surf rockers King Stingray joined the event, as did art-pop icon MARINA – playing her first-ever Brisbane show, 15 years after her last visit to Australia – with special guest Mallrat, cultural icon Grace Jones, country-soul artist Maoli, and Sarah Blasko has been locked in to join Marlon Williams.

Rachel Healy, QPAC Chief Executive, said of the upcoming series, “We’re transforming the banks of the river in front of QPAC into an outdoor live concert venue and bringing the very best Australian and international acts to our doorstep.”

You can find the night-by-night breakdown of the On The Banks events below. The whole program, tickets, and the site map are available on the QPAC website.
