Melbourne-raised, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Ben Abraham is returning to Australia this week, playing two special shows to celebrate Christmas at home.
Ben Abraham’s Christmas Special will see the star joined by special guests on stage at the Metro Theatre, Sydney, on Wednesday, 18 December, and the Forum in Melbourne on Friday, 20 December. The singer-songwriter also promises two-and-a-half-hour shows in both cities.
Abraham’s annual Christmas Special shows have been described as having an “indie Carols by Candlelight” vibe. Previous editions of his festive events have featured special guests like Vance Joy and Gotye. Check out his rendition of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas featuring Missy Higgins below.
Tickets to Ben Abraham’s Christmas Special are available now via the Frontier Touring website.
As his fans know, Ben Abraham worked as a songwriter for many artists for years. Some of the artists included Macklemore, Demi Lovato, Ben Platt and Kesha, and was a co-writer on Kesha’s Grammy-nominated mega-hit Praying.
In 2022, he dropped his second record, Friendly Fire, which led to a massive 2024 that saw Abraham embrace independence and release new music—some of which fans might just hear at the Christmas Special shows.

In 2018, Abraham received the Overseas Recognition Award (with joint winner Kylie Sackley) at the APRA Awards.
“For whatever reason, the trajectory of my career has been the doors have opened overseas before here, which I’m thrilled with, and it’s a privilege because not everyone has that, but also my heart and my passion is Australian, so I’m pretty thrilled,” he told The Music.
