'Unicorn' leads run-up to album release later this year
Four years after their last official album release, influential British EDM duo Basement Jaxx are finally entering the stage of the release cycle where they start to drop crumbs of goodies to whip up some frenzy for the forthcoming drop.
And Unicorn, the pair's newest song – released as they prepare to announce details of their next full-length, due later this year – is a pretty tasty morsel indeed, a four-minute slice of pulse-driven party vibes with an infectious, energetic undercurrent that is positively undeniable.

Early response to the song has been resoundingly positive, with one commenter even going so far as to deem it the “song of the summer”, which we as Australian people at the precipice of winter can only understand on a philosophical level, but maybe we will get it by the time the album comes around in time for our summer.

Until then, the duo will be busy abroad, with a monthly DJ residency in Ibiza, which has presumably long since recovered from its terrible Vengaboys infestation in 1998.
