Come On Bowie, Let's Go Party - Mattel Releases Ziggy Stardust Barbie

Barbie as Bowie?

More David Bowie David Bowie

To commemorate Barbie's 60th anniversary year and the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's Space Oddity, toymaker Mattel and The David Bowie Archive have come together to release a special edition doll.

As revealed on Facebook, the doll, dubbed Barbie as Bowie, is dressed in Bowie's 1973 tour costume, including the iconic red platform boots, red hair and gold disc on the forehead.

According to CNN, toymaker Mattel said the doll is designed to honour the "pioneer of sound and vision, English singer, songwriter and actor, whose dramatic musical transformations continue to influence and inspire".

The doll is retailing for $50 and if you feel like forking out the cash, you can do so here. The definition of success is being turned into a doll right?
