A festival within a festival, Indigenous arts and culture celebration Boomerang will return Bluesfest this April, with organisers today revealing that eight acts on the line-up will also play main stages across event.

Punters will be able watch Baker Boy, Archie Roach, Yothu Yindi & The Treaty Project, Mojo Juju, Benny Walker, Mission Songs Project, Dallas Woods and Brotherhood Of The Blues across Bluesfest 2019 main stages this April.

“We believe that not only is it critical we present an Indigenous festival, but to also present these artists across the biggest stages of the festival,” Bluesfest Festival Director Peter Noble said.

“Their music and dance is an imperative part of all of us. Whether we are aware of it or not, and at this time, when Indigenous Australian music is breaking through on so many levels.”

They’ll be joined previously announced festival headliners Jack Johnson, Iggy Pop, Paul Kelly, Jack White & The Raconteurs, Tash Sultana, Norah Jones and stacks more at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm in Byron Bay from April 18 – 22.
