US Clubs Are Mad For Australia's Vassy

Could the Northern Territory singer be headed for another US club #1?

Darwin-born singer Vassy has scored herself another American success with new single Mad.

The track, remixed by US house DJ/producer Dave Aude, has this week leapt into the US Dance Club Songs chart at 22.

Vassy previously scored crossover chart success with her sing We Are Young after it topped the Dance Club Songs chart back in March. In the end-of-year charts it ranks as the eighth most-played track in clubs for 2013, according to Billboard.

Vassy is one of five Australian artists to have topped the US club chart in 2013, others include: Havana Brown in January with Big Banana, and again in November with Flashing Lights; Nervo in June with Hold On; Empire Of The Sun in August with Alive; Kylie Minogue in September with Skirt.

Vassy is best known here for We Are Young's use in Target's "Gok Loves" television advertising campaign. However, the former tripler j Unearthed winner has scored major sync deals for her music around the globe, with her songs appearing in TV'sGrey's Anatomy and in Hollywood films such as Admission and The Cabin In The Woods, as well as in ad campaigns for Google, Diet Sprite and Nike.
