The Prime Minister might not be interested in discussing the future of the $5 note following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, but the rest of the country is investing quite a bit of time in its future appearance.

While some seem fine with King Charles III on the $5 note, we’d much prefer portraits of beloved Aussie music figures.

The list is endless, but here are a few we think are worthy of such a placement:

Following the Queen’s death last week at the age of 96, some of the music world's biggest stars took to social media to reflect on the passing of the iconic monarch.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr each posted a tribute to the fallen Queen on Twitter, while Mick Jagger shared a heartfelt reflection on the passing of the only Queen to serve during his lifetime, as Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne and more posted.
