Betty Who joins Vassy in the climb up the US club chart

More Betty Who More Betty Who

Sydney's Betty Who is the latest Australian artist to score a hit in Billboard's influential US Dance Club Songs chart.

Her year-old Somebody Loves You has taken off Stateside and given Who a belated hit as the track this week moves from 38 to 31.

Who's song received a boost in September when it was used in the viral video of Spencer Stout proposing to his boyfriend in a flash mob routine filmed in Salt Lake City.

Lifted from Who's EP The Movement, the proposal video propelled Somebody Loves You into the iTunes top 50 and Spotify's top five.

Also still rising this week is Darwin's Vassy with her single Mad - it jumps from 11 to six, becoming her a second US club top ten hit.

The two artists follow in the footsteps of fellow Australian female artists Havana Brown, Nervo, Kylie Minogue and Sia - who have all experienced US club hits in recent years.
