The Sydney-bred singer-songwriter has just kicked off a sold-out east-coast tour
Sydney-bred singer-songwriter Dean Lewis is a busy man at the moment, having freshly kicked off a sold-out east-coast tour in his hometown last night, an occasion marked with the concurrent release of new single Lose My Mind and some pretty hefty international signings.
Lewis, who first turned heads last year with his debut single Waves, has secured representation in the US and UK through venerated label Island Records, with Universal Music picking him up for Canada, Germany, Sweden, France and Holland.
The deals come amid a stack of activity for the high-flying hitmaker, who is all set to perform in three of those countries — Canada, the US and England — this August and September following the conclusion of his Aussie tour.
Four shows remain on his local run — two each in Melbourne and Brisbane — and all are sold out, a term recurring with increasing frequency when it comes to his performances both on his home turf and around the globe.

His international renown has undoubtedly been aided by appearances at events such as the Great Escape Festival, not to mention his headline shows in the UK and across Europe, where audiences in Belgium and the Netherlands helped him sell out seven shows on the 7 Layers tour.
Lewis says Lose My Mind, from his recently released Same Kind Of Different EP, "could be my favourite song" from the release.
"It's about how you feel when you are on the verge of losing someone, and you feel like you can't live without them," he said in a statement. "It's like the first night without that person who has been there for you.
"I remember feeling like the walls were closing in, 'cos that person who I could always turn to was gone. That felt like losing my mind."
