The ARIA Charts Are Getting Dark This Week: Architects & Alice Cooper Set To Dominate

US rocker Alice Cooper and UK metalcore favourites Architects will battle it out for #1 on this week’s ARIA Albums chart.

Midweek figures predict both acts will debut in the top three – Cooper with Detroit Stories and Architects with For Those That Wish To Exist.

The only other contender for a #1 debut this week is local outfit Sheppard, whose new album, Kaleidoscope Eyes, is also expected to crack the top three.

Meanwhile, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis’ surprise album Carnage and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s latest offering, L.W., are both expected to debut in this top 20, as Slowly Slowly’s Race Car Blues looks to move into the top 15.

Over on the Singles chart, you can expect to see new music from Peach PRC, Giveon and Riton & Nightcrawlers make its way into the top 50 as emerging Australian rapper Masked Wolf moves into the top 20 with hit song, Astronaut In The Ocean, which is currently blowing up across the globe.
