Iconic Sydney Venue Confirmed For 2022 ARIAs: 'I Can't Think Of A Better Place'

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has today announced that the 2022 ARIA Awards will be held at iconic Sydney live music venue Hordern Pavilion in November.

Opened in 1924, Hordern Pavilion is a socially significant and prestigious live music space, perfectly reflecting the ARIA Awards ethos, to celebrate the pinnacle of achievement in Australian music.

The move to the venue attempts to commit to ARIA's omnipresent goal of championing Australian music in its return to the live stage, as well as the return to the large-scale broadcast event beloved by punters which was previously attended by the likes of Harry Styles, Halsey, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd and more. 

Over the years, Hordern Pavilion has hosted acts including AC/DC, David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Flume and heaps more.

ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said, “We are so excited to take this year’s ARIA Awards to one of Sydney’s most iconic music venues.

"In a year that has had so many challenges we want to bring the joy of music back to fans, blow up the fashion, fun, and excitement of the red carpet, and celebrate the amazing achievements of our artists in true music style.
