Billie Eilish Claims Second Aus #1 Album While Prince's ‘Vault’ Soars Into Chart

Local acts The Wolfe Brothers, The Kid LAROI and Gang Of Youths also have a good week on the ARIA Charts.

Billie Eilish has dominated this week’s ARIA Charts, debuting at #1 with new record Happier Than Ever while multiple singles also place, as predicted by midweek figures.

It’s the second chart-topping album in Australia for the 19-year-old US artist, following on from her debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which hit #1 in April of 2019 where it spent eight weeks before also topping the ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart and smashing records previously held by Adele and Ed Sheeran.

When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? is currently sitting at #15 on the Albums Chart, while seven Eilish tracks populate the Singles Chart, including the Happier Than Ever title track, which debuts at #6.

Also on the Albums Chart, Prince’s posthumous Welcome 2 America, recorded in 2010 by the late singer-songwriter, debuts at #5, becoming his first studio album to hit the Top 10 since Emancipation in December of 1996.

There’s been a lot of local love for The Wolfe Brothers this week, with the Tasmanian country-rock duo’s fifth album, Kids On Cassette, debuting at #6 and marking their third Top 10 entry after 2016’s This Crazy Life (#10) and 2018’s Country Heart (#9). They're also the week's highest local debut.

Back over on the Singles Chart, local superstar The Kid LAROI hold onto #1 for a fourth consecutive week with his Justin Bieber collab, Stay, after this past week topping the Billboard 200 in the US with megahit F*ck Love.

And topping the top Vinyl Albums Chart this week are local rockers Gang Of Youths with their 2016 EP Let Me Be Clear following its fifth-anniversary vinyl reissue.
