Their advice: Don't wait 'til Monday!
APRA AMCOS may have extended their Live Performance Reporting deadline but they're encouraging artists not to leave it until the last minute to get their submissions in.
The new deadline for reports is now Monday, 5 August at 5pm with the organisation urging artists to complete the reports across the weekend to avoid the last minute rush.
APRA AMCOS have shared that 30% of the entire year's reports are submitted within the last 24 hours and that a whopping $7 million in live performance royalties were made to 17,499 Australian and New Zealand members for the 2017-18 financial year. 15,663 of those artists were to unpublished songwriters.
To submit your Live Performance Report, you need to submit the date, venue and songs performed at your gig, with groups only needing to submit one Performance Report per band, per show.
Can't remember where you played? Chances are theGuide can help with that, as artists and managers now have the ability to search for past performances, meaning an easier way to compile your report each year.
All you need to do is head to the search bar on the left hand side of the site, open the menu, type the artist name in the "Search By Artist" field, select artist and then hit the "Show Past Gigs" button. You'll then see the list of every gig for that artist that has been entered into theGuide.
