Aussie talent continues to dominate
Australian singer-songwriter Anthony Callea is set to claim the highest local debut on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart with Backbone eying off a #1 placing, while Melbourne acts Remi and Harts also look to secure impressive figures.
The mid-week figures follow on from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds setting an ARIA Albums Chart record over the weekend with Skeleton Tree being the 15th Australian album to debut at #1 this year, beating the 2013 record of 14.
The only thing that could block the trend from continuing is if Usher’s Hard II Love of Die Antwood’s Mount Ninji And Da Nice Time Kid beats Callea in the race to the top.
Remi’s second album, Divas And Demons, is expected to crack the top five while The Music cover star Harts looking to break the top 30 with Fire Hope Desire.

Mac Miller is also set to hit the top 10 with his highly anticipated new LP The Divine Feminine, whether or not it can outdo the soundtrack for Bridget Jones's Baby is yet to be determined.
You can also expect to see Australian-bound US rockers Taking Back Sunday and Meatloaf make debuts on the Albums Chart.
Over on the Singles Chart, Calvin Harris is vying for the top debut with My Way with new music from James Arthur also set to appear.
