Lloyd Swanton's Ambon suite comes to Canberra in June for a rare performance.
After several sold out concerts in 2015, Lloyd Swanton and his Ambon suite will be back next month to perform their highly acclaimed show for what might be the last time.
For two emotional hours, the group will perform music and spoken word, with imagery based on real history.
Reflecting the history of Swanton's uncle, an Australian prisoner of war in one of the worst prison camps in the Asia/Pacific area on the island of Ambon. Despite not surviving to tell his tale, Swanton's uncle left behind a coded diary, which is the only substantial surviving document by a soldier on Ambon.
