Alice In Chains, Down & Walking Papers To Play Soundwave Sideshows

Three great rock bands on one big show.

More Alice In Chains Alice In Chains

Another Sidewave has dropped this afternoon, with the legendary Alice In Chains leading a very strong line up of rock bands for dates in, yeah you guessed it, Sydney and Melbourne!

Alice In Chains are grunge royalty, having shifted over 25 million records – four of them released in the 90s and a brand new one, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, released just last year. The tragic death of their amazing frontman Layne Staley in 2002 was heartbreaking for the band's fans, but the group managed to get back together a few years after his passing to keep the flame burning in his absence.

Joining AIC on these shows is Down, the incredible supergroup made up of some of the world's best men of metal who have been going at it for well over 20 years now. Led by the inimitable Phil Anselmo (Pantera), featuring Pepper Keenan (Corrosion Of Conformity), Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod) and Patrick Bruders (Goatwhore), this is one band not to be fucked with.

Rounding out the bill is Walking Papers, who are something of a supergroup in themselves featuring the likes of Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses and Screaming Trees/Mad Season's Barrett Martin, and who we are led to believe are a seriously good live band.

They play the following shows and tickets are available from Friday morning onwards.
