If you thought you were already excited for next year’s Laneway Festival, things have gone up a notch with today’s announcement of sideshows.
Acts including headliner Chappell Roan and Mercury Prize-winning band Wolf Alice are festival exclusives, but there’s plenty to be enjoyed in today’s reveal.
Multiple promoters are hosting sideshows next year. Starting with Handsome Tours, Laneway Presents and Astral People, performers include New Zealand pop singer BENEE, indie star Cavetown, beloved cult band Geese, singer-songwriter Gigi Perez, folk and alt-pop artist Jensen McRae, the pop-inspired Malcolm Todd, indie rockers Mt. Joy, electronic artist Oklou, and breakout shoegaze sensation Wisp.
Meanwhile, MG Live will host sideshows for Alex G, with the American singer-songwriter performing in Melbourne and Sydney alongside special guest Esha Tewari; Lucy Dacus will also perform a pair of sideshows, and so will Wet Leg, locking in exclusive headline shows via Secret Sounds.
You can find all the dates and venues for each sideshow below.
You can sign up for pre-sale tickets to Lucy Dacus’ sideshows here. For Wet Leg fans, an artist pre-sale and the Secret Sounds pre-sale begin tomorrow at 11 am AEDT, ahead of the general sale on Thursday, 9 October, at 12 pm AEDT. Head to the Secret Sounds website for more information.
