Hello... we see you at the top, Adele

More Adele More Adele

Shattering records left, right and centre, pop goddess Adele is the name on everyone's lips, and for good reason. The Londoner has topped this week's ARIA Albums debuting with 25 at #1 with ease, going multi-platinum in a mere week and breaking a 15-year US record.

Setting milestones in Australia too, this is the first time all year that an artist has simultaneously topped both the Singles and Albums ARIA Chart (the former with her first single, Hello) — this time last year, Taylor Swift had the #1 Single slot with Blank Space and the #1 Album slot with 1989.

25 has also marked the highest-selling debut week in more than a decade (since Shannon Noll in 2004), as well as the highest selling individual sales week since Susan Boyle had the highest selling week in ARIA history in 2009.

Following Adele, the next highest international debuts are Enya with Dark Sky Island at #8, Tracy Chapman's Greatest Hits at #14, Joe Cocker with The Life Of A Man — The Ultimate Hits 1968 — 2013 at #44 and Roger Waters with Roger Waters The Wall at #46.

It was a quiet one on the Australian debuts, with Samantha Jade with Nine at #11 and Adam Harvey with Harvey's Bar… The Backyard Sessions at #17.

On the Singles Chart, X-Factor winner Cyrus scored the highest local debut with Stone at #4.
