The Magic Dirt frontwoman will perform four weekly shows at the Collingwood venue
Venerated Aussie songstress Adalita is set to be a regular fixture of Melbourne's live scene next month, signing on for a four-show weekly residency at the Gasometer Hotel next month.
Adalita will perform every Wednesday in March, with support from Ghostly (4 March), Ali E (11 March), Warmth Crashes In (18 March) and Claws & Organs (25 March), and will be previewing a range of new material that the Magic Dirt frontwoman has been working on amid other pursuits, such as her warmly received keynote speech at last year's AIR Awards and nabbing an ARIA nomination as Best Female Artist.
"[I'm] very excited about this residency," Adalita said in a statement. "I've got a whole stack of new songs I want to try and I'm planning a few little sonic surprises as well.
"On top of that, really excited about the fantastic local bands who are coming in to support. It's gonna be a nice little second home this March … looking forward to nestling into that dark, velvety Gaso stage and coaxing out the tunes."
