The band state, "These shows were cancelled on us. It was FAR from our decision."

California-bred post-hardcore band A Skylit Drive appears to have cancelled their first ever headline tour of Australia, days out from the tour, which is due to kick off tomorrow in Brisbane.

With no statement publicly made by the band on their Facebook, Twitter or management, the main indication that the tour has been cancelled is the information on the website of Sydney's Factory Theatre, which states, "Due to unforeseen circumstance this event has been cancelled. All tickets will be refunded in full from point of purchase."

When theMusic.com.au called for comment, Factory Theatre's box office confirmed the cancellation.

Reaching out to the band's PR company, an official statement from the promoter was provided: "Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the band’s control, the upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour dates have been cancelled. A Skylit Drive promise to make it back to AU & NZ in the very near future. Our apologies to all the band’s fans. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase."

The five-piece's tour dates have also been removed from the websites of the other Australian venues they were due to perform at, including Brisbane's Brightside, Melbourne's Corner Hotel and Perth's The Amplifier.

Lead vocalist Michael Jagmin tweeted a photo of himself at his brother-in-law's wedding on 23 August, the day the band were due to play Christchurch, NZ.

The band were due to hit town with Polaris and A Breach Of Silence and were offering fans a VIP package in which they could meet, greet and grab a photo with the band, get early entry into the venue and get three items signed by the band.
