I'm afraid I just blue myself.
Ever since the hugely-anticipated fourth season of cult sitcom Arrested Development screened on Netflix following a painful seven year absence, the question on everyone's lips was the same — "So, when is fifth season coming out?"
It's something that creator Mitch Hurwitz has been asked constantly and speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour this week (via Uproxx), he revealed production for a new season could start early next year.
"We’re very close," Hurwitz said.
"It’s what we’re trying to accomplish."

It's been reported that several stories have been written and are ready to go, but as with the fourth season, the biggest issue is getting the original cast together due to their hectic schedules.
To give you an idea of just how busy some of the cast members are right now, Jeffrey Tambor is gearing up for the third season of his Emmy Award-winning show Transparent, Will Arnett and Michael Cera lend their voices to The Lego Batman Movie out next year, David Cross just wrapped an international stand up tour and Tony Hale currently stars in the HBO comedy, Veep.
It was previously suggested that the show would be made into a film, however going off Hurwitz' comments, it appears the TV format is most likely.
Here's hoping we get confirmation on a fifth season soon.
