"The songwriting occurred during the very late, eerie hours of the night when I was watching Man v. Food and was frustrated by the combination of escalated salivation in my mouth and lack of high-quality eateries that were open at that hour," says singer and guitarist Peter Weiland.

"There is a solid blend of both literal and metaphorical qualities to the lyrical content of the song, which was derived from my experience and interpretation of the world at that moment."

Produced by Ed Ackerson (Soul Asylum, The Replacements) and mastered by Roger Seibel (Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver), You’re Always On My Mind is the follow-up to the band’s 2010 debut full length, Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex?.
