A Day To Remember release new song, 'Mindreader'

No word on the new ADTR album, but here's another new single: 'Mindreader.'

A Day To Remember's seventh album, 'You're Welcome,' was originally scheduled to release last November, but due to incomplete mixing and artwork, according to the band at least, it's been delayed indefinitely. Now, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and with bands like Bury Tomorrow pushing back the release date of their new records and other things still being in the works, who knows when this new ADTR record could drop. But you've got to put something out. So as group implied on their totally-unplanned and real Zoom video call earlier this week, their newest song is called 'Mindreader.'

Out of all of the band's latest singles from this upcoming LP - 'Degenerates' and 'Resentment' - 'Mindreader' is the most tolerable and enjoyable of the trio. Feeling like a harder, groovier alt-rock track that could've been lifted off 2010's 'What Separates Me From You,' still with a decent hook to its name, it falls on the shorter side and sounds natural, normal; like the band aren't trying to so clearly force a poppier or heavier song as per 'Degenerates' and 'Resentment' respectively. It's a nice little equilibrium of their sound.
