It’s been a long time between drinks for Toni Pearen, but this month will see the ‘90s icon returning with her first piece of new music in 30 years.

Dubbed More Than Enough, the new track is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, August 28th, and sees Pearen working with acclaimed musician and producer Bec Caruana and new dance act Burn The Halves.

Released via Caruana’s Booshu Records label, the disco-influenced track also comes accompanied by a remix by iconic DJ Pee Wee Ferris under his Pipi Le Oui pseudonym.

“This song is about people in a relationship knowing their worth and feeling valued,” Pearen says of the track. “I think it's something that a lot of us struggle with at different times of our lives.”

The new single is the first piece of music from Pearen since a pair of singles with Pipi Le Oui in recent years, but serves as her first solo single in 30 years.

Having risen to fame as an actress on programs such as E Street and Home And Away in the late '80s and early '90s, Pearen kicked off a music career in 1992. “Singing was always a big part of my life and before I was on E Street I had a band,” she explained in 2016. “So I always wanted to be a singer.”

Debut singles In Your Room and I Want You both cracked the top ten of the ARIA charts, with the latter receiving an ARIA Award nomination for Best Pop Release. Following the release of 1994's Intimate album, Pearen moved over to the US to work on her myriad creative outlets.

Having taken over from Kim Kilbey as the host of Australia's Funniest Home Videos in 2003, Pearen also made a number of media appearances in the ensuing years, including spots on Dancing With The Stars and the Australian edition of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
