'90s Britpop band Marion have announced upcoming shows they had booked have now been cancelled after frontman Jaime Harding was sent to prison following his arrest for drug offences earlier this year.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the band announced Harding's case will not be dealt with until December following his incarceration at HM Prison Manchester and therefore their gigs can not go ahead.
"Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointment and any inconvenience caused, Jaime is devastated at this outcome and we can confirm that the Marion shows will be re-booked at the earliest opportunity upon Jaime's release," the statement reads.
After forming in 1993, the Chesire-founded group released two studio albums before splitting in 1999 due to Harding's heroin addiction.
Marion have reformed and split a number of times since the initial break-up.
In happier news for Marion fans, the group's two LP's This World & Body and The Program are to be reissued next month as deluxe editions.
