Not only are the UK electro-post-rock legends 65daysofstatic gearing up for their first tour down under in 2012/2013, but they have just announced the Australian release of their 2007 album The Destruction of Small Ideas, through indie label Bird's Robe Records.

The Australian version of The Destruction of Small Ideas will be released as a deluxe package, featuring an additional disc of bonus material. It follows on from the earlier deluxe edition of their latest record, We Were Exploding Anyway (bundled with the Heavy Sky EP), with the bands first two albums to come through Bird's Robe further down the track. The band's current Australian releases can be streamed and purchased on Bandcamp.

On record, 65daysofstatic are known for an exhilarating sound where emotionally-charged guitar rock collides head-on with aggressive live electronics borrowed from IDM, trance and drum 'n bass. Their ability to translate this sound into a energetic and euphoric live show has earned them a reputation as one of instrumental rock's premier touring acts. They have shared the stage with Metallica, The Cure and Battles and appear at world-class festivals such as Summersonic and Sonisphere.
