The trio of ARIA Award winners hoping to ride the Awards bump
Earlier this week we reported on an ARIA Chart bump on the last day of last week's charts, and that's continued across the weekend and into the early part of this week.
Award winners The Temper Trap with their album The Temper Trap (currently 43), 360 with Falling & Flying (47) and Missy Higgins with The Ol' Razzle Dazzle (out of the top 50) are all on track – according to midweek figures – to be top 40 albums once again in next week's ARIA Album chart.
But if there's one thing as certain as death and taxes it's Michael Buble at Christmas, and now that we're getting deep into the holiday month Buble's Christmas is making a run for top spot. So are One Direction with Take Me Home and Taylor Swift is enjoying a second (or third) wind for Red following her ARIA Awards performance and publicity tour. It'll be a three-way fight for number one this week.
Swift also has a shout at the Single Chart with I Knew You Were Trouble (currently four) looking to climb higher. Current number one Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz's Thrift Shop is keeping plenty of momentum in the midweek numbers though, as are Swedish House Mafia featuring John Martin with Don't You Worry Child (three).
