2018 Australian Jazz Bell Award Winners Announced

Artists and industry figures within the Australian jazz scene gathered at Melbourne's Bird's Basement overnight for the 16th Australian Jazz Bell Awards.

Melbourne artist Barney McAll was the big winner of the evening, taking home three awards on the back of his 2017 LP, Hearing The Blood — Best Australian Jazz Ensemble Of The Year, Best Australian Instrumental Jazz Album and Best Produced Album.

Meanwhile, Evan Harris picked up the gong for Young Australian Jazz Artist Of The Year while pianist Bob Sedergreen was inducted into the prestigious Graeme Bell Hall Of Fame.

All winners received $5,000, as well as the award presented at the ceremony.
