The annual Electronic Music Conference (EMC) is only three months away and on the back of news that Amsterdam night mayor Mirik Milan will take part in the event, the first official speaker line-up has just dropped which features big name artists and industry figures from the electronic music scene.
Taking place from 28 November — 2 December at The Ivy Complex in Sydney, the EMC gives fans and members of the electronic music community the opportunity to gather, network and celebrate its culture in the form of panels, roundtables, workshops and masterclasses.
Among the names featured on the first announcement includes the man behind Daft Punk's famous 2006/2007 Alive Tour pyramid design, Martin Phillips, British electro act Leftfield, Melbourne producer Generik and Chicago-born DJ Honeyy Dijon.
Meanwhile, triple j Unearthed music director Dave Ruby Howe will serve as the 2016 programmer of EMCPlay - a one-of-a-kind series of parties showcasing fresh Aussie electronic acts.
